You can play Spotify directly from your TV, or by using your phone, tablet, or desktop as a remote.
To see if your TV supports the Spotify app, go to the app store on your TV and search for Spotify. If your TV isn't listed, you can upgrade it with a soundbar or streamer that supports Spotify Connect.
If the application you're looking for doesn't appear on the TV's app list, you can use the Televisions built-in Google ChromeCast feature. Chromecast gives you the ability to cast thousands of your favorite applications to your TV from your computer, smartphone, or tablet. Make sure that your Apple device is on the same Wi-Fi network as your VIZIO SmartCast TV. Open the application you would like to stream. Tap on the AirPlay icon. Select your VIZIO TV. When I try to cast with Spotify, the TV loads up the Spotify logo for about 10 seconds before going back to the TV home screen. It then repeats that process about 5 times, during which time both Spotify and the TV become unresponsive while they try to connect. The connection is never made and the TV. There is not a problem with your VIZIO TV, or with Spotify. Spotify simply will no longer work on VIZIO VIA+ devices. Spotify will continue to work when cast to a VIZIO SmartCast device. There is not a problem with your VIZIO TV, or with Spotify. Spotify simply will no longer work on VIZIO VIA+ devices. Spotify will continue to work when cast to a VIZIO SmartCast device.

Get started
- Download Spotify from your TV app store.
- Log in one of these three ways to play:
- With Spotify Connect.
- With your Spotify email address and password.
Note: If you usually log in with Facebook, use Spotify Connect to log in instead. - With a PIN. Select LOG IN WITH PIN. Then, on your phone or computer, go to www.spotify.com/pair and enter the pin you see on your screen.
You can listen to Spotify on your TV by using the Spotify app on your phone as a remote.
